U sklopu trogodišnjeg istraživačkog projekta između 2019. i 2022. godine, m3connect je istraživao mogućnosti primjene inteligentne tvornice u logističkom području u suradnji s tri bavarske partnerske tvrtke uz podršku Bavarskog državnog ministarstva za gospodarstvo, regionalni razvoj i energiju. Pod nazivom projekta „Autonomna i povezana logistika“, autonomni transportni sustavi i mobilni uređaji testirani su u stvarnim uvjetima u 5G kampus mreži u tvornici BMW Group Dingolfing.
Kako bi to omogućio, m3connect je instalirao privatnu mobilnu mrežu koja pokriva otprilike 25.000 četvornih metara na lokaciji Dingolfing. Ova mreža osigurava bežičnu komunikaciju za AutoTrailer, autonomno vozilo proizvedeno od strane Stäubli WFT-a. Umjesto tradicionalnih prikolica, AutoTrailer autonomno prevozi dolazne kontejnere unutar tvornice otprilike 500 metara do utovarnih vrata u otpremnoj zoni. Nakon što se napuni rezervnim dijelovima, prikolica prevozi napunjeni kontejner do sabirne točke, pripremajući ga za otpremu.
U sklopu projekta integrirani su i drugi koncepti digitalizacije, uz povezivanje sa sustavom za dodjelu transportnih zadataka. Zaposlenici su putem mobilnih uređaja mogli izravno komunicirati s autonomnim vozilom na parkiralištu. Podaci o probnim vožnjama također su prenošeni i obrađeni putem privatne mobilne mreže u oblaku. Kroz 5G infrastrukturu, implementirani su koncepti praćenja i evaluacije za procjenu učinkovitosti transportnog sustava.
Produktivni testovi logističkih aplikacija u 5G kampus mrežama pružaju značajan uvid u potencijal 5G tehnologije u industrijskim okruženjima. Posebno, mogućnost praćenja prostorne pozicije mrežnih sudionika u stvarnom vremenu omogućuje sveobuhvatnu evaluaciju produktivnosti autonomnih logističkih vozila.

Ovaj standard nam jamči mogućnost modularnog i proizvođački neovisnog proširenja i skaliranja privatne 5G mobilne mreže. Kako su ORAN proizvodi tijekom trajanja projekta bili u ranoj fazi tehnološkog razvoja, suočili smo se s određenim problemima stabilnosti koje smo uglavnom uspjeli prevladati tijekom projekta. Tehnološka zrelost 5G ORAN mreža uskoro će pouzdano ispunjavati industrijske SLA standarde.“ – Justin Eichenlaub, voditelj mobilnih rješenja, m3connect.
Privatne 5G mobilne mreže ključna su komponenta na putu prema potpuno povezanoj proizvodnji, posebno pridonoseći sveobuhvatnoj i robusnoj komunikaciji između strojeva u velikim logističkim područjima. Mogućnost samostalnog upravljanja tim mrežama i njihove integracije u postojeće industrijske mreže omogućuje maksimalnu zaštitu osjetljivih i kritičnih podataka te smanjuje ovisnost o vanjskim dobavljačima.
m3connect je proveo ovaj podprojekt u suradnji s partnerima Accelleran, proizvođačem RAN softvera, i Benetelom, dobavljačem RAN hardvera.

Tijekom proteklih mjeseci, angažirala nas je event agencija MH Event GmbH kako bismo pružili tehnološku podršku za proslavu stogodišnjice globalno vodeće kompanije u sektoru farmaceutike i medicinske tehnologije. Naša odgovornost bila je opremiti prostor događaja, veličine 7.000 četvornih metara, našom privatnom mobilnom mrežom. Program događanja bio je iznimno raznolik i uključivao je live nastupe, food truckove, napuhance i brojne druge atrakcije.
Zahtjev klijenta bio je uspostaviti brzi i beskontaktni sustav plaćanja na štandovima s hranom putem naše mobilne mreže. Kako bismo to postigli, pokrili smo prostor bežičnom povezanošću te postavili dva 5G mobilna odašiljača i kompaktnu, mobilnu server kutiju. Pomoću pametnih telefona koje smo osigurali, osoblje na food truckovima je efikasno preuzimalo i obrađivalo narudžbe.
Još jedna inovacija uključivala je integraciju NFC čipova, koji su bili pričvršćeni na narukvice za ulaz i mogli su se napuniti kreditom. Pomoću tih čipova, gosti su imali pogodnost beskontaktnog plaćanja. Softversku podršku za NFC sustav plaćanja osigurao je naš partner Ticketree.
Tijekom cijelog događaja, stabilnost mreže bila je izvrsna. Organizator je bio izuzetno zadovoljan performansama naše m3connect mobilne mreže, te su vođeni poticajni razgovori o daljnjim potencijalima mreže.

U sklopu tjedna mjerenja mobilne mreže, građani u NRW-u pozvani su da pomoću aplikacije koju je osigurala Savezna agencija za mreže izmjere pokrivenost mobilne mreže i identificiraju “mrtve zone”. Tvrtke su također često pogođene mrtvim zonama i slabom dostupnošću mreže, zbog čega sve više ovise o našim privatnim 5G mrežama kako bi poslovni procesi bili brži, pouzdaniji i učinkovitiji.
Od 2019. godine, pioniri smo u industriji mobilnih telekomunikacija, dizajnirajući, konstruirajući i upravljajući privatnim mobilnim mrežama. We are excited about the opening of our new office in San Francisco, the opportunity to expand our presence in the US and be part of the growing technology and innovation community there. In addition, last year we celebrated the opening of our new location in Ras Al Khaimah, capital of the Arab Emirate of the same name, from which we serve our customers in the entire Middle East & Africa region.
Already since 2017, we have been implementing communication networks in hotels in the Gulf region, ensuring efficient operations and satisfied guests in the hospitality industry with the integration of WLAN, IPTV, access control, room and energy management systems and digital signage. Our network innovations for the hotel industry have been present at Arabian hospitality trade fairs and events for some time. For example, we have already equipped houses of customers such as the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) with innovative wireless and communications infrastructure. As part of an all-round service, we offer complete packages from a single source, from consulting and project management to installation and on-site support.

Artificial intelligence for radar systems to support police surveillance in public places and train stations, in short KIRaPol.5G. This is one of our company’s new 5G projects, which is funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Innovation, Digitalization and Energy of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia as part of the 5G.NRW competition. Together with the project partners IMST GmbH, Telefonbau Arthur Schwabe GmbH, the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences and various security authorities (Federal Police, Bavarian State Criminal Police Office, Mönchengladbach Police Headquarters), we are developing a concept in which public areas can be monitored in compliance with data protection requirements by using innovative technologies.
Instead of video systems, radar technology is increasingly used. Here, radio waves can be used to detect not only individual objects, but also their position and speed. In this case, it is not possible to draw personal conclusions, as could be the case with video surveillance using facial recognition. This results in a considerable advantage in terms of data protection. AI-supported pattern recognition will be used to read out people’s movements from the radar data, which will also make it possible to identify dangerous situations, among other things. For example, if a person is lying motionless on the ground, an alarm can be automatically triggered at the security authorities. In this way, emergencies can be quickly recognized and a correspondingly rapid response can be made.
In this project, we are responsible for the network infrastructure for transmitting the highly secured data streams. The radar systems are connected to the central components via the 5G network. The data collected there is then in turn transmitted via a highly encrypted connection to a cloud, from which the alarms are triggered to the security authorities in subsequent use cases. The pilot project will be the main train station in Mönchengladbach, including the forecourt.
We are very pleased that our partner companies also choose us when it comes to building their network structure. Our partner Zwo G GmbH has built a new headquarters in Viersen and has commissioned us to set up the network infrastructure for them there. We also set up the hardware for their telephony and their conference rooms. Zwo G GmbH is a waste management and recycling company with which we cooperate on our construction sites. We are looking forward to further cooperation together.
